Happy St. Patty's Day!

I made these bookmarks and candy snacks for Dom's class for St. Patrick's Day. They are pretty straight forward to make. Just go to Home Depot, Lowe's or your local hardware store and pick up some green paint swatches. I used shamrock punch by Cutting Edge and tied a ribbon at the top. The candy I got from the grocery store . I had to trim the licorice when I placed it in the bag so the raimbow would be somewhat even. The gold is Rolo's. I think they will be a big hit with the kids!

Valentine's Day Cupcake Cones

I made these cupcake cones for Domenic's Valentine's Day party at school. Angelo has an MRI scheduled for Friday so I also made some to take to the hospital to give to the kids at the infusion clinic. :)

They were very easy to make. Once you have your cake batter ready, just fill the cones about 3/4 full and then bake them at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or so. I placed the cones directly on a deep pan and they stayed in place if you put them close enough together.

Once they were out of the oven and cooled I spooned candy melts along the edges and then sprinkled with colored sugar. Once that was done then I frosted the tops and placed a candy heart in the frosting.

The tricky part is transporting them.   I found that each one fit perfectly in a plastic cup. Once they are in the cup they pretty much stay in place. You will hear them rattle around but they will be fine. The frosting didn't smudge at all and the candy melts had already hardened.

I then wrapped them in cute sulafane bags and tied with ribbon.

I hope you all enjoy!!!

Valentine's Day Candy Machines

Hey everyone! I made these for Domenic's teachers for Valentine's Day! Aren't they so cute?!

They were very simple to make. I got everything from Michaels. Here's what you need.

1. Small clay pot
2. Small glass bowl
3. Wooden balls. The ones I bought were in a bag.
4. Clay paint.
5. Hot glue
6. Ribbon or any other decorations you would like.
7. Candy!

The best part about this is that everything was just about a dollar!!! Thanks for visiting my blog!
